In late 2001, I turned my attention to internet dating for the very first time in my life. I never even thought of a pretty Russian woman, or a Ukranian bride, let alone an International marriage agency. And a foreign affair was a foreign idea to me!

I can sit around in my underwear! Cool! Maybe there is still hope for this old guy, I thought!

Anyway, I was still legally married, but definitely permanently separated. So a good looking young female companion was appealing to this lonely guy - but a foreign affair?

Once I started looking, I found out, as you probably have also, that there were many different dating sites. Plus there are so many, quite a variety, of available American women to choose from. I spent a lot of time looking, and hoping, and waiting.

Of course a guy in his mid-fifties wants a 40 year old female beauty, right? Wanting and getting are two different things in the real world, which I quickly found out!

By January 2002, I quit the Internet thing! Once these sweet looking American gals found out my age, they were gone! I was bummed out!

I learned quite a bit, spent some money and I walked away much wiser but I was still very lonely!

Some of the sites were free and all wanted profile information about me as well, of which I put one or two together.

Over a period of several months, the foreign women who were contacting me were not my choice, except for two pretty Russian women.

This pretty Russian woman was 18 years younger than me!

One day I got an email with a photo of a really good looking 40 year old blond who wanted a foreign affair with me! I was quit excited! YEE HAA! I opened it up at work and couldnt wait to get home to write back to her!

To my dismay, I had accidentally deleted her email! It wasnt in the trash can either! I waited for her to write to me again for weeks. Gone! Boy was I disappointed. So much for my first chance at a foreign affair with this Russian beauty!
