Want to Travel to Former USSR?

If you do not want to travel to former USSR to a certain country, for whatever reason, do not waste her or your time and emotions.

Just skip on past her profile no matter how good she looks to you. Make this part of your life easy on yourself. There are plenty, lots and lots, of pretty Russian girls all over the former USSR countries.

Just as you eliminate a woman due to her other criteria, like age, children or physical features, use the country where she lives, also as criteria.

You will have to go travel to former USSR to meet her before she can be your official Russian bride, fiance or wife. So pick a place that is easy to get to, a safe place to be once you are there and easy for her to get out of her country and into your country and into your home!

It was after the fact that I found out that my future Russian bride was from Uzbekistan. Where the heck is that, I wondered?

My ignorance of world geography led me to believe that she was in Russia somewhere, when I sent her that first letter.

My overseas adventure, after I decided to travel to former USSR, turned out to be terrific! I was fascinated when I spent 30 days in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Before I left the USA there were travel warnings to US citizens who travel to former USSR from the State Department about possible terrorist danger, since this is a Muslim nation. But I was totally at peace the whole time I was there. I never felt at risk. Of course, I didnt do anything stupid either.

. . . . . I suggested this idea to her. I cant, she said. Why not, I queried. (My friend had to travel to former USSR to meet his Ukrainian bride there to process her immigration papers. That was in 1998. Now, the Ukraine government processes immigrants from Odessa.)

I have visa and passport problems, and I cannot travel freely, she told me.

Oh well! So I learned the hard way where the heck the country of Uzbekistan is and I had to make plans to travel to former USSR.

You should not rule out this country in your search, as long as it remains a friendly Muslim nation. There are lots of pretty girls there too! I saw them all over the place! I got one of them and brought her back to my house!

A note about Belarus

As a result of the explosion of the nuclear power plant in Chernobyl, Ukraine, radioactive pollution was dropped all over Belarus back in the 1980s. The winds carried most of the air borne radio active pollution north into Belarus, away from the Ukraine. After I learned about how this happened there, I did not want to take a chance because one never knows how nuclear fallout might have affected the woman who lived there, and her child, because of radioactive contaminated food and water consumption over the years living there. Look it up on the internet if you are interested in a lady from there.

But you better hurry up - - - - - - - - because - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - I recently read that the president of that country wants to stop all women from leaving and wants to crack down on all the marriage agencies there. Is the collapse of communism real? Not until all the old communist farts die off. My wife said hes a crazy guy as opposed to a good guy (like you and me) as Russian women say about men.

Stay away from Russian women from Moscow and St. Petersburg!

In your quest to find your Russian bride, I would suggest that you stay away from the two biggest cities in Russia itself, Moscow and St. Petersburg when you travel to former USSR. Search for your future Russian bride in the smaller cities.

The smaller town girls are a better pick for you. They have less western culture contamination and odds are in your favor that she will probably make a better marriage partner for you.

The big city Russian girls are more spoiled, like western women are. They are more modern and have some of that disease called womens lib due to western cultural influence.

The small town Russian girls are not backwards" by any means. They are stylish without being a modern womens libber. In other words, they believe in the old fashioned values that will make her a great wife for you! Ask me how I know this!

Stay away from the rural areas!

I suggest that you stay away from the rural areas also when you travel to former USSR. The woman there might be great but you will have a more difficult time trying to meet her. Traveling, for the western visitor, can get pretty rough once you leave the city.

If she is so far into the Russian Urals, you will have to make arrangements for her to travel to a central location for you to meet her.

This is not a good idea!

There are several reasons why this is a bad idea.

She will have to travel. This will be more expense for both of you. She will have to leave her job and loose wages. You will have to pay for her travel and lost wages. She will have to leave her environment where she is comfortable and meet you where she will not be comfortable, for the first time, in a strange place. She will be leaving her comfort zone which might include family, a child, parents, friends, etc. She has a place to stay where she lives. Now she has to find strange quarters in a strange environment for both of you. Not an easy task for her.

Now the benefits for you to meet her in her home town when you travel to former USSR far out weigh that scenario. Meeting her in her home town will mean less expense for both of you. She knows the town. She will be your best escort to scenic parks and historic museums. She knows the best entertainment for day and night. She knows the best restaurants and the corner diner or local pub. She will be most relaxed in her home town to entertain you. She is proud of you and wants to show you off to her friends and relatives. She will be able to get you a very inexpensive and comfortable apartment away from the tourist traps. She can save you a ton of money if you do not have to stay at an expensive western hotel.

When you travel to former USSR, there are too many advantages for you to meet your future Russian bride in any other place but her home town for you to ignore this in the beginning of your search for your soul mate. So plan your new adventure wisely!
