Why Pretty Russian Ladies for a Wife?

Moscow -  - Over 50% of Pretty Russian Ladies . . .

. . . are single and many of them have never been married, researchers say.

According to the latest population census:

• 195 out of every 1,000 Pretty Russian Ladies have never been married,
• 190 are widows and
• 130 are divorced.
• In fact, "all of them are single",

reported Demography and Human Ecology Center chief Anatoly Vishnevsky on Thursday.

In the 25-30 age group:

• 239 of every 1,000 Pretty Russian Ladies have never been married,
• 110 are divorced, and
• 11 are widows,

he said.

Many foreign men ask the question,

"What are the expectations of Pretty Russian Ladies when they marry a foreigner and move to their husband's country?"

Well, in view of the living circumstances of most Russian people the expectations of Pretty Russian Ladies for their life in a foreign are not going to be unreasonable.

Yes, it's true they do have access to foreign media and movies which usually portray life at the top of the economic spectrum. But, most understand that movies are movies and not real life.

Also keep in mind, most Pretty Russian Ladies are willing to work to help support their husbands and families. Almost all of them use the word "normalnaya", which means average and normal, to describe the kind of life they are seeking when they marry foreign men.

Listed below are the three principal reasons why Pretty Russian Ladies want to meet foreign men (in descending order of importance):

1. Shortage of Russian men.

According to the year 2000 Russian Census there are twelve million more Pretty Russian Ladies than men. Why is this so? Because Russian men die at higher rate due to occupational hazards, street violence, auto accidents, risk taking, etc. They also die younger due to stress, despair, heavy smoking, exposure to toxins and most importantly, alcoholism. Many men also migrate to Siberia and the Far East to work in the factories, mines and oil fields. Therefore, Russian women have little choice but to search for their soulmates in the foreign countries.

2. Pretty Russian Ladies are not treated as equal citizens.

They must accept the worst jobs and even in equal jobs must accept lesser salaries. In marriage they must do everything: the shopping, house cleaning, cooking, work a full time job, raise the children -- everything. Most husbands contribute very little and spend most of their time chasing other women or drinking with their friends.

3. Pretty Russian Ladies have a very positive view of foreign men as being sophisticated, egalitarian, gentle, considerate and most of all - sober.
